Baby Shower Bash Giveaway #33! Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag!

Blog Button

Monday, October 26, 2009

I recently came across a very interesting diaper bag from Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bags. Up until now I hadn’t seen any very unique diaper bags and this one sure takes the cake. If you are looking for a diaper bag then this is the one you will want to check out.

The diaper bag was invented by a mom, Mrs. Rachael Smith out of necessity. I love stories like this! A mom sees a problem and solves it and shares it with the world! So you are probably wondering what is so great about the bag right? Well I’m glad you asked haha…

The benefits of the Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag are unmatched, like the unique pull-out drawer, which can be taken completely out of the bag. In the Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag, you can fit:

Two bottles and one sippy cup in their own insulated holders
Jars of baby food
Two pacifiers
Lots of snacks and toys
Four to five sets of clothing
Wipes in a their own wipes container
Six diapers
A washable, full-sized changing pad (is included!)
And dedicated places for your keys, cell phone, sunglasses, credit cards, cash, ID and water bottle

And you can access all of these items easily! The Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag converts to a backpack by using its own shoulder strap. It’s designed with style and flare, and keeps you organized. The Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag also comes in black for those who also love to be organized, but don’t do pink!

Whew, that was a lot of great features to list! Can you believe it, it actually has a pull out drawer! I absolutely love it! I can’t tell you how many things I was carrying around in Danika’s diaper bag that I didn’t even know were there because they were buried on the bottom of the bag. This led to throwing in another one and another one and soon having a bag that was heavier than her! My husband once asked me if I had put a bowling ball in it because it was so heavy :)
We reviewed the Mrs. Smith Diaper Bag in black. I had to go basic for my hubby’s sake :) I can’t blame the guy for not wanting to carry around a beautiful, girly bag :) So I got the black and it works sooooooo great! I would also love to get another in a more fun print for me to carry around!

If you are having a girl this bag would be perfect! The Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bags sell starting at $69.99 and you can buy them at online sites like amazon.com and others listed here.

Growing a Baby in Seattle Reviews

Review and (fabulous) giveaway: Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag!

There are a few phrases guaranteed to strike fear into the heart of my husband.  1) Do I look fat in this?  2) Why do YOU think I’m upset? and 3) It’s in the diaper bag, can you go get it for me?

he first two phrases are just inevitable in life, but happily for my husband, the third phrase is scary no more. And happily for me, since I am a type A, organization freak, and the messes that are my diaper bags have been stressing me out since my first child was born. Now that I have two small kids and have to carry around twice as much stuff, the problem has gotten exponentially worse.
The amazing thing that solved this problem for us? The Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag. I was so excited when I found out that the company was going to send me a bag to review. I talked about it for days. And then the  day the bag actually arrived was like Christmas morning for me. Seriously, if you want to make an organization freak happy- give them something that is meant to keep things organized. They will love you forever.

I dumped out my old diaper bag and set about loading up the new one. The secret of the Mrs. Smith’s diaper bag is the fact that it is divided into a top half with bottle holders and pouches, and then has an entirely separate bottom half with a drawer (with dividers) to keep all those little diaper bag necessities safe and sound and organized. Those little things are the things that I could never find in my old diaper bag. Like my lip glosses- when I moved everything over to the Mrs. Smith’s bag, I found that I had SIX lip glosses in there, because I could never find any and just kept putting new tubes in the bag. Now my lip glosses have their own little section in the drawer and I can always find them quickly, no matter what else my kids are screaming for. The bag also has insulated bottle holders and lots of places on the outside of the bag to stick things, as well as a full-sized changing pad.

The Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag is slightly wider than I am used to for a diaper bag, but this isn’t really a big deal for me. I had no problems with it when I hung it on the back of my stroller, and it was still comfortable to carry over my arm. The other feature (other than the organization) that I love is that the bag very quickly and easily, and without any extra straps, converts from a messenger style bag to a backpack. That’s so handy!

This bag was invented by a mom, who had a 2-year-old son and a 6-month-old daughter who were both demanding things at once, all while the family was boarding a plane.  As the mom of a 2-year-old and a 4-month-old, I can definitely relate to that challenge, and I really appreciate that Rachael Smith put her frustration to good use and invented this bag.  Rachael, you might just be my new best friend.

My old, messy diaper bag. Shudders of horror!
Look at how organized everything is!!!

Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag-Getting Ready for Baby Week (Review & Giveaway #15)

I admit it, I am not the most organized person around. I love the idea of being organized and I have very good intentions, but sometimes I just need help! I find that my diaper bag is a difficult area to keep organized. My current diaper bag is spacious, but sometimes I think it is too spacious. I don’t have a place for everything so it all gets thrown in together and it can get messy. I was so excited to discover Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag!

Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag is perfect because it has a spot for EVERYTHING! It is the perfect bag to keep you organized! This diaper bag has enough room for:

* Two bottles and one sippy cup in their own insulated holders
* Jars of baby food
* Two pacifiers
* Lots of snacks and toys
* Four to five sets of clothing
* Wipes in a their own wipes container
* Six diapers
* A washable, full-sized changing
pad (is included!)
* And dedicated places for your keys, cell phone, sunglasses, credit cards,
cash, ID and water bottle

Wow! That is a lot to store in one bag! And since everything has it’s own place it doesn’t get messy and you will know exactly where to find it!

The top portion of the diaper bag is for clothing, bottles, sippy cups pacifiers, band-aids, diapers and diaper cream. There is a drawer that is perfect for snacks, toys, burp cloths, formula or baby food jars. There is also a full size washable changing pad which is stored in the bag’s flap.

Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag sent me a bag to review. I am so happy with this diaper bag! It really has kept me more organized. I know exactly where to find sippy cups, snacks, diapers and extra clothing.

I also love the full size changing mat. Many other diaper bags come with changing mats, but they are usually pretty small. When I change the G-man on an icky public restroom changing table I do not want him touching ANY part of it. With this changing mat I don’t have to worry about it because it covers the entire thing! Now he doesn’t have to listen to me saying “Don’t touch! Don’t touch!” the whole time because it is not an option!

I also love the fun designs that Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag comes in. They are all really cute and there is something for every mom!

Simply Being Mommy Review

Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag Review and Giveaway

October 15, 2009

mrs smith logo

Being a mommy to three children I’ve used my fair share of diaper bags.  I’ve used big ones, and I’ve used small ones and yet somehow, someway the diaper bag is always a mess and totally unorganized.  I recently learned about Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bags and was given the opportunity to try one out.

The Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag by Whoda Thought was designed by mommy of two, Rachael Palmateer Smith.  One day she was struggling to manage the demands of her 2-year old son and 6-month old daughter at the airport when the idea of the ultimate baby bag came to her.  As they were boarding the plane, her son wanted his toy train and her daughter began crying for her bottle.  While digging through their traditional diaper bag, Rachael accidentally spilled her daughter’s bottle all over the contents of the diaper bag.  In desperation to find her son’s toy train, she dumped out the bag and emptied everything out onto the chair.  Frazzled and frustrated, she began sketching in her mind the ideal diaper bag just the way every parent would want it.  And that is how Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bags came to be! mrs smith bronze diaper bag

There are a few colors and patterns to choose from and I chose this awesome bronze bag! I figured since my two youngest children were boys I needed to get something that was more unisex.  When I first received my bag I spent a few minutes just figuring out all the compartments, zippers, etc.  The most unique feature of Mrs. Smith’s Diapers Bags is the pull-out drawer on the bottom of the diaper bag.  The pull-out drawer is accessible from the front with a zippered compartment.

There is so much room and space to keep everything you need in the bag orderly and organized.  The top section is big enough to hold clothing, bottles, sippy cups, pacifiers, band-aids, diapers, wipes and diaper cream.  The pull-out drawer can hold toys, snacks, baby food, tissues, etc.  There are also plenty of pockets for cell phones, bottle of water, etc.  Rachael really thought of everything when designing Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag.

She has also included a washable changing pad that is located in the diaper bags top flap.  It is larger than your normal changing pad and is easily stored in the bag.

Since receiving my Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag I have gone from carrying a diaper bag and purse to just carrying the diaper bag.  I have enough room for everything that I need and it has helped with the amount of things that I have to carry and keep up with.  And if that wasn’t enough, you can convert the messenger strap into the backpack function in a snap.
