Review and Giveaway: Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bags

Mrs. Smith’s diaper bags is the ultimate organizer and carry-all. It has a place for each item needed for daily outings and longer trips. Designed by Rachael, a mother of two, each detail is carefully thought out to make Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag the most useful and fashionable diaper bag on the market. It comes in fun florals, metallics, camo and zebra prints.

MY REVIEW:
I received this unique diaper bag in Flower Power color. I do not have a baby right now but I still use diaper bags whenever we go out to store extra clothes, snacks, medicines, water bottle and sometimes a packed lunch, especially when we go to the beach. The bag is a bit big in size but the weight is balanced well and thanks to the long strap, it isn’t a pain in the shoulders to carry.

flower power sample

This diaper bag is so different from the rest, the number of pockets, oh my. You can never complain where to put what again. It has so many compartments inside for baby bottle, sippy cups and all other small things like keys, cellphones and wallet which would be so useful for any mom.

I put extra clothes on the top compartment and the pull-over box below is perfect to store packed lunches and I don’t have to worry of anything toppling over and dripping. It can also be used as a perfect food tray while travelling. Other things I store in the pull-over box are sunglasses (I won’t have to worry that they’d bend or break!) and Pristine’s medicines.

I love wearing any bag in messenger style but sometimes, when I have to ask my husband to carry the bag for me, he looks funny wearing a bag like that. Mrs. Smith’s diaper bags solves that problem – it converts to a backpack by using its own shoulder strap. Simply unhook the messenger strap and remove the shoulder pad. Thread the strap through the loop behind documents pouch. Attach hooks to the D-clips at the bottom of the back of the bag and size accordingly. Although I’m already using it now, I can’t wait to use it the next time we travel!

Flower Power, my new favorite diaper bag!

Mrs. Smith’s diaper bags are available online at Amazon, Chocolate Cake Club, Posh Possesions, Bubble Bee’s Parties, Noktup and on display at Peek a Boutique.

Mrs Smith Diaper Bags | Review and Giveaway

by admin – Jennifer on November 20, 2009

2009 Christmas Gift Guide Participant

Mrs. Rachael Smith after many mornings scrambling out the door with her children, realized she spent too much time worrying about the little details (keys, change of clothes, snacks, etc…) and not enough time focused on the essentials.

One day while struggling to juggle the demands of her infant daughter and toddler son at the airport, this all came to a head. As they boarded their plane, her son wanted his toy train and her daughter began crying for her bottle. While digging through her traditional diaper bag, Rachael accidentally spilled her daughter’s bottle all over the bag’s contents. Then, in desperation to find his toy train, she dumped out the bag and emptied everything out onto a chair.

Read the rest of her story here.

The benefits of the Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag are unmatched, like the unique pull-out drawer, which can be taken completely out of the bag. In the Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag, you can fit:

  • Two bottles and one sippy cup in their own insulated holders
  • Jars of baby food
  • Two pacifiers
  • Lots of snacks and toys
  • Four to five sets of clothing
  • Wipes in a their own wipes container
  • Six diapers
  • A washable, full-sized changing pad (included!)
  • And dedicated places for your keys, cell phone, sunglasses, credit cards, cash, ID and water bottle

And you can access all of these items easily! The Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag converts to a backpack by using its own shoulder strap. It’s designed with style and flare, and keeps you organized. The Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag also comes in black for those who also love to be organized, but don’t do pink!

My Thoughts

This bag is simply amazing! Kudos to Mrs. Smith for designing the perfect bag! I have always been in awe over how much stuff you have to pack for a simple outing for a baby or toddler, and I have had three of them! But seriously in most other diapers bags you have to stack everything in one compartment. Oh sure, there may be a zippered area for your keys and a place for a bottle but have you ever seen one that has this???

That’s right it has a drawer! And not just any drawer but a compartmentalized drawer so everything that I have to bring along with me has it’s own place. BRILLIANT!!!! I am absolutely in love with my bag and take it everywhere with me, and I get lots of stares, especially when I am at a park and slide the drawer out for a band-aid. “Cool Bag”, “Where can I get one?” and “Holy Cow” are just some of the astonished quotes I have heard so far. And don’t think that this bag can only be used for babies or toddlers, nope I carry snacks for my teenage son it here, just don’t tell him I said that! I give this Mrs. Smith bag two thumbs up (if I had more this bag would get them) and I highly recommend it to everyone. I have even become their fan on Facebook I love them that much!! They would make an awesome present for Christmas.

And I am so excited to announce that Mrs. Smith has donated two bags for me to giveaway for my Gift Guide, winners choice, based on inventory in stock. Please see rules below to enter today!

Mrs Smiths Diaper Bag Review and Giveaway

I love my new diaper bag. I admit I am an over packer. But in my defense when you have kids you never know when that certain something may come in handy. Plus as a cloth diapering Mama it is really hard to find a diaper bag that will hold cloth diapers and anything else. Usually it’s one or the other you can have your cloth diapers but then the bag is bursting at the seams and you can’t bring anything else. That is why Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag’s are so magnificent. I have not seen another diaper bad like them. I am warning you though they are big. Much larger than most diaper bags I have seen. But as a mother of two my needs have increased. A small diaper bag just doesn’t cut it for me anymore. And personally they never really did as I mentioned before the whole cloth diapering issue. Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bags have some pretty unique features my favorite being the pull out drawer. I am amazed at how much I can fit in there. And you will be two. I can fit 3 fully packed one size fits all cloth diapers in the large compartment (it was hard to fit those in my old diaper bag at all). Two pairs of 3t undies and pants for Kaia and Two Pants-all outfits for Mikey in the other two compartments. I have it all separated and organized the way I like it. Then the top of the bag has so much room I am just so excited. I am not used to having this extra room usually I have a bursting bag that cannot hide its own contents. So now I can bring snacks for my kiddos, drinks extra. I do have to say this as well. The side cup/ bottle holders on this bag are fantastic. I always had issues with my other bag because the bottle holders were made for just that bottles which generally are skinnier then a lot of the sippy cups that Kaia possesses. I love using her Safe Sippy and if any of you have one you know what a pain they are to get into the side bottle/ cup holders in the diaper bag. It easily fits in this diaper bag. Which in itself I know it’s kind of silly but that sold the diaper bag for me. I wanted it right then.
The other huge thing for me was the changing pad. I have big kids even Mikey who is five months measures at the size of a twelve month old. So most changing pads that come with diaper bags are way too small they fit maybe my Childs head or just their bottom region. The problem with that is YEW! I don’t want any part of my kids touching that changing table. Not their clothes hair or anything. The changing pad that comes with the Mrs. Smiths bag is magnificent it is a full size changing pad bigger then Mikey but it folds up super tiny. I love it. I don’t understand why all diaper bags don’t come with a changing pad like this one. With all that said there are some negatives to this bag first the size. It may be daunting to some. For me it was a perk because I personally need a larger bag but for others with one child that is out of diapers etc. they might shy away from the size. My friend did bring up a great point though. She said afterwards it will be a fantastic traveling bag. Which is so true, this bag will have a super long life with our family. Okay second negative and this one is really isn’t that bad but the prints and colors. I love them but having a boy and a girl I would like to see some more gender neutral colors in the cute prints. I love the polka dot print but I wish it was made in light blue or even lime green (I have been on such a lime green kick lately). They do have a few gender neutral colors I got the copper color and I adore it. It is truly gorgeous. But I was looking at their fun prints and they were definitely geared towards the girly side. Other then that I have not found any negatives for this bag. It even changes from a shoulder bag into a backpack another of my favorite features.

Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag

Looking back, I can’t believe I purchased my first diaper bag in a department store – and solely because it happened to match my stroller. Online options are endless now, and truthfully if I had to pick just one as a new mom, I think I’d have a pretty hard time. I know that certain features are definitely needed – it has to be pick enough to hold all the stuff a new mommy hauls with her but it also has to be functional as well. Oh, and it shouldn’t leave imprints on my shoulder!

The Mrs.Smith’s Diaper Bag from WhodaThought is designed by a mom (of course!) and is the most functional diaper bag I’ve come across. Why? The genius idea to include a drawer…yes a drawer on the bottom makes all the difference in the world. Basically, the Mrs.Smith’s Diaper Bag is like having a regular style diaper bag on the top portion (which can hold a remarkable amount of items) and a second drawer area, accessible from the front by unzipping. The drawer area is every mom’s answer to avoiding the inevitable smushed cheerios, or squeezed out butt-cream at the bottom of a traditional diaper bag.We received a Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag in the Brown Flowers design (like the one at the top) and I think it’s brilliant! I use the bottom drawer to keep my daughter’s Epi-Pen and Benadryl safe from being squished and it’s a good place to store snacks. You’d think that the drawer would limit space inside the top portion of the bag, but I still had plenty of room for sippy cups, diapers and wipes, my Blackberry, etc. Actually, having a bag that isn’t so deep helps because everything is within reach and easy to find. The straps convert to a backpack as well, making it even easier to carry.

The Mrs.Smith’s Diaper Bag has a list of other websites that currently sell their products here.

Mrs. Smith’s Bags Review and Giveaway

This is a bag every mom needs. When I say “every mom” I mean that. I was beyond excited for the opportunity to review one of Mrs. Smith’s Bags. I’m sure I’ll still be using this bag years from now when I drop Lucy off at her first day of school!

You might be wondering why this bag is special. There are a couple of features that make it so fantastic. The first is its organization. As a mommy I learned very early on that’s its important to have things like pacifiers, cups, toys, yogurt puffs, and diapers on hand any time you’re out in public. Most bags have a few little tiny compartments and a couple big ones so things get tossed in and are difficult to find. The last thing you want in a crowded mall is to have to dig around for five minutes for any of those necessity items.

Rachel Smith designed these bags after a frustrating airport experience traveling with her two small children. I hope you will all take the time to read how these bags came about. Its a story moms everywhere can relate to. She wanted a bag that allowed her to carry everything she needed but be organized at the same time. Her diaper bags offer a drawer, which I’ve found to be great for toting lunches in, and a top bag area that’s great for diapers, clothes and mommy items!

Besides being super organized and able to pack every single thing you’d need when taking your child out, this bag can function as a messenger bag or a backpack! Making the switch is very simple and can be done in less than a minute. I love that this can be a cute backpack because carrying around a toddler puts enough strain on me. Wearing it like this evens out the weight that I support and doesn’t feel heavy or bulky.

This is one of my favorites, and the bag I got to review: Pink Polka Dots!

I really wish I would have known about these bags when Lucy was first born. Just in the short time that I’ve had mine I’ve already grown extremely attached. No more carrying around a purse stuffed with diapers, a toy bag, a cup that gets thrown in the floor, and a lunch box. It all goes in Mrs. Smith’s Bag!

Holiday Extravaganza #11 : Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag Review and Giveaway

Posted by Jenna | Monday, November 16, 2009
, , , ,

There are many “Mommy Must-haves” when it comes to baby gear, and one of those is definitely a good quality diaper bag! When we first had Kaelyn, we had three different diaper bags that we used. They were all different sizes and we used each one for certain outings. As time went on, I remember thinking how nice it would be to have one diaper bag that met all of our needs. Something that wasn’t too small, wasn’t too big, would help me stay organized, and had some insulated compartments for bottles, sippy cups and food.

I wasn’t sure I’d ever find a diaper bag that offered everything I was looking for, until I had the chance to review a Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag from Whoda Thought! Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag was created by Rachael Smith after she found herself boarding an airplane with her 2 year old son and 6 month old daughter, digging through the diaper bag for milk and toys and spilling as she did it. It was at that moment she realized there must be a way to create a diaper bag which is more organized and makes it easy for parents to get to what they need…and so Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag was born.

We were sent the Brown Flower print diaper bag.

When it arrived and I opened the box, my first thought was….“This is exactly what I have been looking for!” It’s a diaper bag that’s not too big and not too small. As I checked it out, I could tell that the material was very good quality and that this was something that would be used for a very long time. I can’t wait to use it with our baby when he/she arrives!

There are so many features and ways to use the bag that I absolutely love about this diaper bag, one being the fact that it can easily be converted from an over the shoulder bag to a backpack style diaper bag. This is something we have always wanted in a diaper bag, but never had. I think this option will be one we’ll be very happy to have.

There is also a TON of storage. I couldn’t believe all the stuff that could fit in this bag! Between the great organization drawer which pulls out at the bottom of the bag, all the space inside and all the side compartments….I don’t think we’ll ever need to have multiple diaper bags again! It’s great! One would think that with a drawer at the bottom, there wouldn’t be much space in the top compartment, but this isn’t the case at all! There is a lot of storage space in it, and I appreciate the fact that it’s not extremely deep like some diaper bags. It allows for easy organization and finding things will be a breeze!

It even comes with a full-sized changing pad which I think is something all of us need at one point or another and don’t always have with us. I know this will come in very handy and be used often!

I could tell that this was a diaper bag created by a Mom. Thank you Mrs. Rachael Smith! It has all the bells and whistles that we Mom’s look for in a diaper bag. It’s functional, spacious, and stylish. They have many cute prints available. I really liked the Zebra print too.

In my opinion, a Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag is definitely a Mommy Must-have. It would make a fantastic Christmas gift for any parent on your list this year!

Buy It: You can find a list of other online stores that carry Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bags by visiting the their website.

Review/Giveaway: Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag’s

November 17, 2009 by Erin-Admin

Mrs. Smith's Diaper Bag'sThis is the absolute best diaper bag. I received a diaper bag from Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag’s. This diaper bag has everything you need for your trip out with your baby. So much storage.

Just off their website this is everything that it holds:

The bag can hold two bottles and a sippy cup in their own insulated holders, jars of baby food, two pacifiers, lots of space for snacks and toys, plenty of room for extra clothing, wipes and wipe container, six diapers, a washable, full-sized changing pad (included), and dedicated compartments for keys, cell phone, sunglasses, cash, ID, and water bottle. The bag is easy to clean, as well.

I am able to get everything I need in the diaper bag to go out with my daycare babies! Easy to find the items I need quick. My favorite part is the drawer that comes out of the bottom. I hated digging around the diaper bag looking for toys, spoons, and even pacifier’s when I needed them quick. The drawer make it super easy to find the items fast. Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag also turns into a backpack. I love the multi use of a diaper bag.

Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag ~ It’s in the Bag! {Review & Giveaway #4}

Mrs Smith Full Logo

Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag by Whoda Thought was created out of a mother’s frustration at spending way too much time struggling with all the little details versus being in the moment and enjoying her children. Rachel Smith decided after a difficult time traveling with her toddler son and infant daughter that there simply must be a more functional design to diaper bags that allow for much easier access, more efficient storage and versatility. And thus, the Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag was born.

I am undeniably guilty of being unorganized, especially in my purse and my diaper bag. It isn’t that I don’t want to be clutter free and have everything neatly in its place but I often fall short. It wouldn’t be usual to find random toys, dirty socks or an animal cracker floating around in my purse and much the same can be said about my diaper bag. After using the Mrs. Smith Diaper Bag the last couple of weeks (in this gorgeous dark copper color) I’ve found the perfect bag for longer trips.

Mrs Smith Diaper Bag

The pull out bottom drawer of this bag is simply G-E-N-I-U-S! The storage compartments kept all my snacks for a road trip together and with easy access, not to mention safe from getting squashed! For another trip I used it to hold some small toys as well but if but kids were still eating bag food or needing formula this would be the perfect spot to store it!

October 7, 2009 005

If you are wondering if the bottom storage takes up too much room, don’t! I was able to still put two changes of clothing, two pairs of thick footed pajamas, diapers and wipes with a little room to spare on the top. There is a built in changing pad with is extra large, larger than I’ve ever seen in a diaper bag. The design makes it fold down super flat for maximum storage. The only downside is it isn’t padded.

Mrs Smith Features

I also love how the Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag can convert from messenger style to a backpack in an easy switchover with the strap. Talk about versatility. This bag is definitely made for hauling though and is a decent size. While still compact enough to fit in our stroller basket, it isn’t the bag you’d use for a quick shopping trip. Don’t let the pictures deceive you. This bag is a good size and for that I’m grateful!

A number of fun styles are available including this chic Zebra

Stay Organized With a Mrs. Smith Diaper Bag! {Review}

Confession: One of my downfalls is organization. I’ve never been an organized person. Seriously, you should see my computer desk right now.

Imagine how having a baby impacted that – suddenly I needed a million little things (and big things) and I needed them NOW! Crying babies have a way of making you frantically scramble through your diaper bag, hoping to find that pacifier/bottle/snack in a split second. But does it happen? Not for me! I’ve had diaper bags that had to be completely up-ended and dumped out before I could find what I needed. Not fun at all.
But no more! I have finally found a diaper bag that works for me (literally) in the form of a Mrs. Smith Diaper Bag by Whoda Thought.

What makes this bag special and sets it apart from the others? It’s a hopelessly unorganized mother’s dream solution! There are no deep dark holes that you can lose stuff in, and there are actually compartments and a drawer. Yep, a smart mom finally invented a diaper bag with a drawer, and it actually works!

Check this out! In the Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag, you can fit:

  • Two bottles and one sippy cup in their own insulated holders
  • Jars of baby food
  • Two pacifiers
  • Lots of snacks and toys
  • Four to five sets of clothing (smaller baby clothes, I’d say)
  • Wipes in a their own wipes container
  • Six diapers
  • A washable, full-sized changing
    pad (is included!)
  • And dedicated places for your keys, cell phone, sunglasses, credit cards, cash, ID
    and water bottle

Oh, AND guess what? It can be worn as a messenger bag (over your shoulder) or a backpack! I’ve been looking for a good diaper bag that can be worn as a backpack and I’ve found it!

Seeing is believing, don’t you agree? Then check out this video review of the Mrs. Smith Diaper Bag:

I found the Mrs. Smith diaper bag to be well-made and stylish, and it helps me stay organized! My favorite features are that it transitions from a messenger bag to a backpack, and the pockets. There are pockets for cell phones, pockets for cups, a pocket for sunglasses, and more! Also a place to hook your keychain. This makes me very happy. ;-)

I should mention that it isn’t quite as roomy as I thought it would be – it’s organized, but it’s not a bottomless pit for all your stuff. It will, however, hold what your baby or toddler needs and your necessities like wallet, sunglasses, and keys. Maybe this’ll stop me from throwing things in there that don’t need to be taken with me. Believe it or not, my (previous) diaper bag has been known to hold things that are totally unneccesary and possibly… gross. This bag will definitely cut down on those occurrences. ;-)

I’ve gotta mention that I have always had two bags – a purse and a diaper bag. But now I’ll only be carrying the diaper bag when we head out. Thanks, Mrs. Smith! :-)

Visit Whoda Thought to find out where you can buy the Mrs. Smith Diaper Bag. It retails for about 69.99.

Whoda Thought Mrs Smith’s Diaper Bag is multifunctional, spacious soft, and easy to carry #giveaway

October 9, 2009 · Filed Under giveaway, review

WhodaThought Mrs. Smith's Diaper BagI contacted Whoda Thought Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bags and asked them if I could do a review and then donate the bag to charity. They said yes and now, I don’t want to follow through. I want to keep it but my conscious won’t let me. I just assumed it’s a diaper bag, I don’t need another diaper bag. I’ not having anymore kids I have everything in it’s place in my current one. OH how I hate doing the right thing sometimes.

This is the one I received for review. It is so soft, I mean, I want to rub it all over my face it’s that soft in my opinion. It has a drawer that you can pull out and put things in to help you keep them organized. You can see a side pocket there as well. There are so many nooks and crannies to fill you can put everything you see in the next picture inside the diaper bag.

From the Manufacturer
Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag by Whoda Thought is the ultimate organizer & carry-all. The Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag has a place for each item needed for daily outings and longer trips. Designed by Rachael, a mother of two, each detail is carefully thought-out to make the Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag the most useful and fashionable diaper bag on the market. The benefits of the Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag are unmatched, like the unique pull-out drawer, which can be taken completely out of the bag.

It can be converted from an over the shoulder bag to a back pack. I really need a back pack most of the time because I’m always hitting my kids in the head with whatever I’m carrying as I try to pick them up. A backpack would just make my life so much easier. I’m very grateful for this wonderful donation to my MOMS Club gift bag. It should make the value of our gift bag increase quite a bit. I know I’m bidding on it just to get it back in my hands. I already gave it to the president of our chapter. So I won’t be tempted to use it.

The bag is valued at 50.00 to 110.00 at Amazon.com
