Mrs. Smith’s is the only patented diaper bag with a pull out drawer making it the most unique bag I’ve ever reviewed….also making it one of the most functional as well. Whoda Thought that you could put so much in a bag and keep it so incredibly organized. You can kiss those days of digging goodbye!
I have read quite a few reviews on this “diaper” bag and as you know I love to take care of my readers since many of you have small children or are expecting. I no longer use baby items since my boys are older but can tell the practical needs one provides, or doesn’t.
This bag has so much space and so many spots to keep things well organized. I always hate the struggle of a new baby and all the things required for their special needs. This bag has plenty of room to fit every stage of your children life & needs!
In all the reviews I’ve read everyone shows you how they organize it for babies or small kids. I’ve read some great reviews on this bag that you can check out on the Mrs. Smiths Blog. I noticed going through them no one really shows the bag without stuff in it so I wanted to show you myself.
This bag makes so much use out of every area. What I love about this bag is that I can still use it! This is the PERFECT park bag! I can hold my keys, water bottle, phone, etc on the outside so it’s always quickly available without digging around…although there is no digging in this bag anywhere! The insides of the littlepockets are super soft making them a safe spot to store sunglasses or a touch screen phone or iPod. The back of the bag also has a pocket perfect to hold a book or some (full size) magazines! Perfect for when I sit and wait while the boys run around.
The pull out drawer is perfect for storing lunch! The large square is the perfect size for bringing sandwiches with us. Three to be exact! I can then put snacks and fruit into the side spots or fit two juice boxes perfectly in each. Best part- they don’t get squished or crushed!
The top is great for extra drinks. Once again since there are three of us, I love that there are three drink slots. I then have room for bug spray, sun lotion, first aid essentials and more. The little zippered pocket is perfect for my license and some spending money.
It comes with a changing pad as well that folds up and stores nicely in the inside top.
I love this because it makes the perfect table cloth as well! It’s big enough to change a baby on and big enough for my boys to both put their lunch on so they’re not eating on a dirty surface.
Since the pad is washable I don’t have to worry about them getting it dirty either.
Favorite feature!
Spending the day at the park or zoo is so much easier when you have both your hands! Since this bag can be easily converted into a backpack I can bring everything I need with me and not worry about juggling things. I don’t have to worry about my arms getting heavy and can enjoy the day! With the outside pockets I can easily get to what I need.
The only thing I wish they had was more pattern/color choices. I feel that most of the choices are very girly and feminine. I’d love to see some boys prints and colors. I went with the black since it was the only gender neutraltone but if I had a girl I love their pink polka dot from their Tempo Collection.

While many moms have good friends, all of us know that our BEST friend is an amazing diaper bag. Especially that first year! Finding the perfect diaper bag can take a lot of work. When we are pregnant, especially with our first. We look for the cute bag. The diaper bag that doesn’t look like a diaper bag. Whether it be the print, or the brand, it can be really hard to find a great non mommy style bag. Not everyone loves Disney characters all over the bag!
The first bag I ever bought, I bought because it looked like a big cute purse. WHAT was I thinking. This bag had literally 3 pockets. One big one, and two small one. Whether you are nursing or bottle feeding we all know 3 is not nearly enough.
The second bag I had, was a giant bag that had 5 pockets. A little better, but still. Three of the pockets where massive. Lap top massive. The 2 side pockets are cell phone sizes. AGAIN. WHAT was I thinking. This bag turned out to be a great school bag but not a good diaper bag. More often than not, I was forced to dump everything out, and search for that one binky, or that one nursing pad. AHHH The memories.
The last bag I HAD was literally the free one from the hospital. I had given up on paying until I found the perfect bag. This bag was okay, I mean it had more pockets, icepacks for breastmilk, and even a cell phone pocket. It did the job. However I longed for that perfect bag.
Then one day. Out of nowhere. I come across a site. This site had the most beautiful bag I had ever come across. Literally. No exaggeration. The features were perfect. I had to have it.
The Mrs. Smith Bag has literally thought of everything.
First of all, the most amazing feature has to be the pull out drawer. As you can see the bottom half of the big, has a zipper in the front. This is where the drawer pulls out. The drawer is a complete pull out drawer. Meaning if you don’t want the drawer compartment in there and want to use the space for something else. It is totally up to you. The actual drawer is divided down the middle, one side is a full ½, the other is split again making it ¼ compartments. This drawer is a great snack drawer. In the big half I can fit one formula container, baby spoons, binkies, and 3 baby food jars. In one of the quarter compartments I fit 3 Grammy Sammy’s (graham cracker sized), 2 packs of 2 juice boxes, and 2 Mum Mums. In the other quarter I can easily fit a baggie of puffs, fiddlesticks, and colgate mini toothbrushes. That is a lot of baby food.

The Top half of the bag is a storage compartment. Although it is not deep (because of the drawer) it is much better this way. I think a diaper bag should be shorter and wider, so you can see everything when you look in. The inside is lined with insulated pockets. 3 Of them! You can easily store, baby bottles, water bottles, sippy cups, or just use them as pockets for binkies, makeup, and more.
The top container also has a wide are with velcro closure that you can easily store in diapers and wipes. Although I use cloth, I love using biodegradable diapers to travel. I can easily carry 2 shells,3 bio inserts, 2 cloth inserts and a pack of wipes. The remainder of this space, I just store a change of clothes, burp clothes, a blanket, and bibs.
The lid of the diaper bag has a small area to slide in the changing pad.
I also love that this bag has an entire section dedicated to Mommy’s. There is a water bottle holder, a sunglass holder, a cell phone holder, and another pocket for those miscellaneous items of yours.
Not only is this bag fully functional but it comes in a wide variety of patterns. I bought the zebra bag! Its feisty and rocker like me! If you like girly prints, there is a cute flower print. If you want your bag to have more of a chic look go for the high fashion black and gold prints.
I am so excited to share an amazing opportunity with you. One of my lucky readers will have a chance to win one of these great bags. The winner will receive one of the bags that the company chooses. US and Canada only giveaway! This giveaway will be open from 5/12-5/26 until 11:59PM PST
Don’t you want a bag that holds this much stuff, neatly organized.

When you become a Mom, any organization you used to have usually goes out the window. Late nights, early mornings and no sleep inbetween make life a little difficult…worth it, but difficult. This is shen it’s nice to have really great products to help you stay sane. Things that are so easy to use that it takes little to no brain power what-so-ever…cause mommy brain is chronic.
It was very normal for me to leave the house, children in toe, and forget at least one thing. Ben is pretty much able to get himself out the door, but I need to do the thinking for the baby, and unfortunately ga ga goo goo doesn’t cut it…though all I can muster up some days.
For William, there are certain things I need to have on hand at any given moment…a change of clothes, diapers, wipes, teething ring, toy, pacifier, burp cloths, bibs, baby food…and the list goes on and on. Finding the right bag to organize all these things can be difficult. most bags will have a few pockets in them, leaving it up to you to remember where everything is. Then there is the Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag.
If you crave organization, and are struggling with finding just the right bag, it’s right here…look no further. This bag has everything you need to keep your kids travel needs right where you need them. The Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag has a zillion features…well, maybe not a zillion, but it has everything you need!
I was sent the copper bag, and not only do I love the functionality of it, I love the color! I’m a Brown/Earthtone kinda girl, so this matched both my wardrobe and my personality to a T!

On the outside you’ll find two side pockets the perfect size for a cell phone or camera, a mesh pocket perfect for a water bottle and a pull tight pocket, again great for a water bottle, or a baby bottle. It has a pocket in the back the width and height of the bag itself. Great for storing a magazine or a couple kids books.
On the inside, up top, there is three insulated pockets for baby bottle, baby food or sippy cups, a zipper pocket, great for a debit/credit card or a little cash. A valcro pocket perfect for wipes and diapers. Then there is the open area, perfect for a change of clothes, burp cloth, bibs ect… The drawer is in it’s own separate compartment at the bottom of the bag. It is divided into 3 sections, and can hold games, snacks, medicine, bandaids…

A few months ago, I became a Facebook fan of Mrs Smith’s Bags when I entered a giveaway for one of their bags. Unfortunately, I didn’t win, but I do get updates now on their bags and all of the cool things that are happening in their business. When Mrs Smith’s Bags was looking for a way to promote their bags and wondering how to get their name out there, I suggested doing a review on my blog. I always love reading reviews on new products and thought it would be fun doing one. With three kids under the age of 2, it’s hard to find a bag that can hold everything for everyone. Before I saw this bag, I really didn’t care much about the bag that I carried. It just had to hold some of the things that I needed. Little did I know that this bag would be the last one I would need to look for!
I was super excited when I recieved my bag. My husband called me while I was at work and told me that it had come in and that it looked cool. I couldn’t wait to get home to try it out. I got home and tore it out of the box. It was so pretty. I got the copper color. I immediately took everything out of my old diaper bag and started putting it in the new one. I soon realized how big it was and how much it would hold. On a normal day out, we have 3 diapers for each child. That is 9 diapers. Add that to a package of wipes (because with 3 hineys to change, you never know how many you will need), a change of clothes for each of the twins, burp cloths (2), bibs (2), bottles (minimum of 2), formula (most of the time we take enough for 6 bottles), a sippy cup for Joey, snacks for him, and the various odds and ends that will possibly be needed throughout the day, it adds up very, very quickly. That doesn’t even include all of the things that I need in the diaper bag (ie my ID, cell phone, keys, and any important papers that I might need during the day) This bag has room for it all.

This bag has a patented organizing drawer in the front. Who would have though to put an organizing drawer in a diaper bag? The inventor/designer of Mrs. Smith’s Bags found a need for it when she was travelling with her 2 year old son and 6 month old daughter. Not only was she juggling the two children, but she was also trying to juggle the diaper bag. She couldn’t find what she was looking for and ended up spilling her daughter’s bottle all over the contents of the bag while looking for her son’s toy train. She was beyond frustrated and vowed to make something that would solve her problems. In the bottom drawer of my bag, I stored two of the formula containers, tylenol, gas drops, snacks for Joey, socks for the twins, and any of the misc. things that I threw in at the last minute.

With the design of the strap on the bag, I can use it as a messenger bag or a backpack. This came in handy when I was carrying the twins at the same time in their infant carriers. The inside of the bag is so wonderful. It has 3 insulated cup/bottle holders, a zippered pouch, and a velcroed compartment. It held EVERYTHING that I needed to be out with for about 6 or so hours. The day that I tried it out for the first time, I put 9 cloth diapers in the top along with the wipes. There is even a pocket on the outside that I used to store 3 disposable diapers just in case we needed those as well while we were out. That pocked could also be used to store magazines, a book, or needed paperwork.

I honestly didn’t think that I could ever find ONE diaper bag that could fit everything that I would need for all THREE of my kids in it at once. I have found it in this bag! You can find these awesome bags
here. You can also visit Mrs Smith’s Bags on Facebook at
www.facebook.com/pages/Mrs-Smiths-Bags/123246658483. You can see the new things that they have going on and also they have discounts and promotions on a frequent basis!!
Thank you to Mrs. Smith’s Bags for providing me with a sample bag for me to review that I am able to keep. I have not recieved any compensation for my review on my blog and all of the opinions are mine. All of the reviews that I put on this blog are my honest opinion. Thank you!!

After having children in all age brackets it’s given me the opportunity to try out different sizes and styles of diaper bags. And what I found is that they all have been pretty much the same. Big and bulky or so small that they don’t provide enough room. And the styles are not so great either. Not to mention the fact that all of them have been unorganized because they give you just one large section where you’re expected to put everything.
Food with clothing and diapers — what if the bag gets tossed around and food spills or leaks? Yea, that’s happened. Then you’re stuck with dirty clothes. But wait, you packed those clean clothes because you wanted to be prepared in case baby soiled the outfit they were wearing. So that defeats the purpose, right? Ok, toss those in the dirty laundry pile. Unworn clothes. That’s nothing new here but I’d like to try to avoid that.
As a mom of two school-aged children, Rachael Smith, founder of Mrs. Smith’s Bags, knows the challenges that parents of young children face. With a sincere desire to help parents everywhere, she became inspired with ideas to build the most organized and spacious line of diaper bags ever made.
Rachael herself experienced what many parents have. While trying to meet the demands of her children and waiting to board a plane she was digging through her diaper bag to find a bottle for her daughter and a toy for her son and she accidentally spilled her daughters bottle all over the contents of the diaper bag. After her frustration wore off she decided to sketch the ideal diaper bag, just the way every parent would want. And that is how Mrs. Smith’s diaper bags was developed.

There are 5 different styles of Mrs. Smith’s diaper bags to choose from; the Elite, Classic Pack, Exotic, Tempo and the Basic style. I chose the Bronze bag which has an alligator skin appearance. Very exotic! Very unique. Yep, that’s me. hehee
I love the fact that these bags look more like a fashionable hand bag rather than a frilly diaper bag. This is great for ladies who wanna keep that fashionista look even after child birth. And guess what dads… Mrs. Smith has designed a bag for you as well. Look at this rugged bag…
Any daddy should be proud to carry this handsome bag! It has all of the features that the other bags do but without the girly look. No more cramming your cargo pants full of baby’s supplies or into a backpack just to avoid mommy’s diaper bag. You guys know that not everything will fit into those pants pockets. hahaa. Hey, you can still take those kiddos for a hike in the park because SURPRISE! these babies convert into a backpack. Yes, they are very versatile.

Speaking of features, all Mrs. Smith bags come with a patented pull out drawer on the bottom. It’s in a zipped compartment that is easily accessible. And this is what makesMrs. Smith’s diaper bags so unique and keeps the contents of your bag organized. It is separated into 3 sections. 1 large section for toys, food, or more diapers and 2 smaller sections for pacifiers, creams, lotions, and more.
No more spills to worry about now. I can keep my baby’s dry items separate from the liquids and jarred foods or snacks. And I don’t have to get frustrated anymore because I won’t be washing clothes that were never worn. YAY!

Since the bags are two levels high they give you so much more room. Everything has it’s own place and is kept nice and tidy. No frantic searches through a pile of mess looking for that pacifier when your baby is in hysterics. All I have to do now is unzip the bottom, pull out the drawer and there in the small compartment is the pacifier. No guess work! There’s even a washable changing pad located inside the diaper bags flap. It rolls up neatly and has it’s own pouch so it doesn’t get mixed in with clothing or diapers.
As you can see in the images, there are plenty of pouches and pockets for other things too. Two mesh pockets for extra bottles or bottled water, and two padded pouches for cell phones, ipods or even sunglasses. Mrs. Smith thought of everything, didn’t she? She’s one amazing woman!
Now that I have this bag I can go out with just one bag. These are so nice and stylish I don’t have to carry my handbag. I just toss my keys and cell phone in my Mrs. Smith bagand go. With baby of course. hehee

The diaper bag. It’s probably one of most well-used pieces of baby gear. Due to that very fact, it’s easy for it to get cluttered and disorganized. In my opinion, there’s nothing more stressful than trying to dig around every last section of your diaper bag trying to find that pacifier to soothe your screaming child, or to find your cell phone before it stops ringing. Are you with me?

Mrs. Smith has come up with a fantastic solutions for all of us frantic mommies. I like to refer to them as the holy grail of diaper bags. They’re not only stylish, but they’ll keep you organized. The top section is like any other bag, with pockets and sections for baby’s bottle and diapers. Down below is an amazing pull-out compartment which is perfect for storing baby food and snacks. There are also several pockets and holders on the outside along with a key hook, and lined cell phone/camera pockets. The bag is carried messenger style and the special straps can be converted so that you can carry it as a backpack. How cool is that?

This is my new Elite Mrs. Smith diaper bag in platinum. A place for everything, and everything in its place. I’m in heaven! No more digging through my old bag, which I like to call, “The black hole”. What do I do with it now?

My absolute favorite part of this bag is the pull-out drawer on the bottom of the bag!
I was surprised at how much space there was in the drawer.
I have packed a few items in my new bag, but can’t wait to actually use it for the baby!
I love all of the different fabric choices as well! There are so many to choose from. However, since I don’t know the sex of my baby I was sent a neutral/black bag, which is great since it can be used for boy or girl and my hubby won’t mind carrying it.
