The Ultimate Diaper Bag from Mrs Smith’s (+ Giveaway)

Huge diaper bag, filled to the brim with your baby’s essentials. You have everything in there but precisely where each item is located, you have no clue. It’s a mini jungle in that bag. What’s your biggest nightmare?….Baby cries and you just can’t find what you are looking for in that huge mess in the bag…it’s in there, yes but WHERE???

I know you’ve been there and Rachel Smith was there on more than just one occasion in her life, till she decided enough was enough, Mommies needed a spacious diaper bag that was organized and easy to find things in, thus was born Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bags!

I’ve always carried a ‘mini baby home’ in my bags when Bunny girl was a baby and now with Bunny Boo scheduled for an arrival in May, I know I’ll be doing the same all over again.

I love that the Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag I was sent has all the compartments, pockets and sections I’d need to stash away all I’d need for Bunny Boo….in an ORGANIZED, EASY TO FIND manner! (Just had to put that in caps as it’s really that important!!)

Bunny Boo’s bottle, a teddy bear, wipe cloths and a feeding bottle, can fit into these mini compartments. I can throw in my car keys and wallet into the zipped in pocket and perhaps have an extra change of clothes, an extra blanket and diapers placed at the bottom.

The large zipped in pocket at the back can hold the pack of wipes and maybe some paper towels.

Here’s one of my favorite features of the bag, a mini changing mat to place over those icky changing tables in the stores.

There’s even a compartment to hold maybe a magazine or two for when you take baby in for shots to the Doctor and have to wait for more than an hour to be called in. You can also use this to store clothes or a light cover sheet.

The bag even has a little pocket to hold your mobile phone and a bottle of water to hydrate yourself while outdoors.

If you have an older offspring, there’s enough space in this bag to store a few snacks, a juice box, an activity book or two and a toy(s) as well.

The ‘carry over the shoulder’ strap can be used to transform the bag into a backpack as well.

I’m so in love with this bag and am slowly accustoming myself to get used to the bright pink military design. The practicality of this bag has me sold! Now honestly….can you find a diaper bag with more features than this one??

Mrs. Smith Diaper Bag review and {Giveaway!}

I used to get so frustrated because I would dig and dig in my diaper bag for something (i.e. the much-needed pacifier for my screaming child) and would eventually find it after a struggle or I would just give up! No More! I was sick and tired of my deep, almost pocket-less bag. In my search for something better, I found Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag. My solution to clutter.
This is a fantastically smart bag made for real moms! There are tons of compartments, including the fabulous drawer at the bottom with 3 compartments. The top portion is half the height of the bag, allowing for easy removal of items I use a lot. No more digging around in the bottom of my bag because I can see everything when I open the top. The drawer in to bottom is solid, so top side items don’t crush whatever I choose to keep down below. Yet, the diaper bag is lightweight, even with the protective drawer casing. There are a total of 5 bottle/cup holders with 3 insulated bottle holders in the top, a mesh pouch on the outside, and another pouch with elastic on the outside. I would like there an outside pouch to be insulated also, since my baby takes tall bottles. There is a padded sunglasses holder, a cell phone holder, and a “documents pouch” which I use for my wallet.Another really cool thing about Mrs. Smith’s diaper bag is that it converts to a backpack! Really great for outings to the park, hikes, airport, etc. I also like that aspect because I have a bad back and it is healthier for people to carry weight centered than off to one side. I learned in nursing school that kids carrying backpacks on one shoulder cause scoliosis cases to rise.Mrs. Smiths diaper bag also has a pouch in the top flap to hold thewashable changing pad. Stored away from other things when it is dirty, but you can really clean it well.
The Mrs. Smith’s diaper bag is a great quality bag. I really like the soft canvas material on mine and the cute pattern. There are lots of cute styles to choose from. It is sewn together to be very sturdy. One issue I did have was with the zippers sticking. They may loosen up after more use. I have to say the pictures online do not do it justice. It is far more attractive and not as bulky as the pictures make it out to be.Buy It!
Visit Mrs. Smith’s Bags and buy a great diaper bag to keep everything you need organized.

Traveling With Children: Organization {Mrs. Smith’s Bags Diaper Bag Review & Giveaway}

This product is featured as part of a week of Traveling With Children necessities.

I must get my dislike of winter from my mother. Born and raised in California, she is one of those people that craves the warmth and sunshine and as soon as the temperatures start to drop, she’s ready to pack up and head south. And, in fact, that is what she does.

Ready to leave the snow and ice behind, Big Sister E and I packed up and headed down to visit for a week. However, the thought of traveling with a 3-year-old was a little daunting, so I knew it was important to prepare and plan to make the trip as smooth and simple as possible for us both.

When deciding what bags to carry on, I knew they would have to meet a few requirements: plenty of room, well-organized and easy to carry. Fortunately for me, all of that is found in one uniquely-designed bag created by an innovative mom, Mrs. Rachael Smith.

Looks like any other diaper bag on the outside, doesn’t it? Appearances can be deceiving!

When Rachael couldn’t find a diaper bag on the market that met her organizational needs, she did the next best thing and invented her own. Today, all of Mrs. Smith’s Bags feature the genius ideas that she came up with, including a two tiered design, patented pull-out drawer, washable changing pad and strap that converts from being a shoulder bag into a backpack.

Every single one of the features that make a Diaper Bag from Mrs. Smith’s Bags distinct combine to make this the ultimate organizational bag for traveling. As I began packing for our plane ride, I immediately fell in love with the way every item had a designated place and would be easy to access when it was needed while we were up in the sky.

Extra clothes, wipes, drinks (in the insulated bottle/cup holders) crafts, crayons and small toys dominated the large top portion of our bag, while the bottom pull-out drawer was perfect for having a multitude of snacks and munchies divided into tidy compartments. Not only was it easy to see what I had already put in, in one glance I could see what was missing. Even better, with the amazing size of this Diaper Bag, there seemed to be an endless supply of room to add in more things.

After checking our bags at the airport, it was up to me to keep track of the carry-on suitcase, our Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag, our jackets and hold Big Sister E’s hand all at the same time. I really appreciated having the option to easily move the carrying strap on the Diaper Bag on from the shoulder position to the backpack option if I chose to have even more hands free. Versatility at its finest!

So, how did our Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag hold up on the airplane? It was perfect. Even filled to the brim it fit right under the seat in front of us and I was able to reach right into the top or, for an easy way to have snacks on hand, I left the drawer pulled out far enough that the food was accessible (shown below). I couldn’t have asked for a better way to keep both Big Sister and myself happy while flying.

The Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag is the definition of the saying, “A place for everything and everything in its place.” Whether you are going on a daily outing or a long trip and need to carry items for any number of children at any ages, every detail has been carefully thought-out to maximize space and organization and minimize the possibility of ever having to dig through a messy diaper bag again. With its variety of colors and patterns, this stylish bag and its benefits are unparalleled by all others.

Ready to move into a world where dumping out your bag in hopes of finding the particular toy or snack is a distant memory? Thanks to the generosity of Mrs. Smith’s Bags and Whoda Thought (their parent company), one person will have the chance to carry one of these amazing bags, because…

One lucky person will win a Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag of their own!

Mrs.Smith Diaper Bag- Review and Giveaway

Getting organized when you have a little one is essential, not an easy thing to do all the time but very important to save mommies time and hassles. How many times you’ve been trying to find something in the little one’s diaper bag and it seems that is has disappeared within the depths of the diaper bag? Me…..It seems like a 1000 times:).
Mrs. Smith Diaper bags offer an alternative to dumping out everything inside the diaper bag. This very useful diaper bag is the idea of a mother of two, and of course who will know better of what a mom needs than another mom? The bag is incredibly roomy and it is separated in two different sections. The top section is like any other bag and perfect for clothes, diapers, wipes and everything of that sort you might need to take care of your little one on the go.
The second part features a very unique pull out Drawer that can be completely pulled out of the bag and let you at a glance see everything you have stored. Perfect to keep the snacks, extra pacifiers, toys ……You name it.
The bag has a lot of storage room and plenty of pockets inside and outside. The different designs are also very unique and you can find from a very colorful flower print to a very sassy and elegant solid copper color.
What makes a Mrs. Smith diaper bag a mommy’s “must have”? It can hold all of the following items:
• Two bottles and one sippy cup in their own insulated holders
• Jars of baby food
• Two pacifiers
• Lots of snacks and toys
• Four to five sets of clothing
• Wipes in their own wipes container
• Six diapers
• A washable, full-sized changing pad (is included!) and very conveniently located in the bag’s flap to get even a better use of the space in your diaper bag, and after use , you just need fold and replace it in its pouch, that way you always know where it is and make sure you don’t leave it behind…….No, it had never happened to me before….Well maybe:)
• And dedicated places for your keys, cell phone, sunglasses, credit cards, cash, ID
and water bottle.
It doesn’t get any more organized than that! One more feature that I absolutely love about the Mrs. Smith Diaper bag is that it converts in to a backpack by using its own shoulder strap, talk about convenient! This is for sure the diaper bag I am taking with me on my trip to Ohio.
I am sure you will love to get your hands on one of these great diaper bags.

Mrs. Smiths Diaper Bag Review & Giveaway – ENDED

10/20/2009

We received the Mrs. Smith’s diaper bag in copper from Whoda Thought and it is the best diaper bag I have had a chance to review up to this point.  The copper bag sells for 99.99 but it is awesome for multiple kids.  I have made a little video tour for you of the bag that i will post a little later in this review.  I love all the pockets and the space in this bag.
Mrs Smith’s bag comes in a variety of colors and the price ranges from 69.99 to 99.99.  The only thing I wish with this bag is that there was more gender neutral or boy bags, I know some moms view the diaper bag as their accessory and therefore buy as such but I view it as a baby item and therefore buy according to my childs gender, with having two babies needing the bag I wanted to do the best i could to get a neutral bag and other then copper the only other neutral one is black.  Now if i was buying for me or for my daughter there are so many bags i am in love with.
Pink Polka Dots ($69.99)
Zebra Print ($85.00)
Pink Camouflage ($69.99)
Here is the video tour I did of the bag, sorry it is a bit dark we need to get a new video camera for me to post reviews and the like, perhaps I will put that on my christmas list.
I have been using this bag for a couple of weeks now and love the organization that the pouches and drawer provides me.  I can put it under the stroller or wear it on my back and it travels very well.  In my opinion it is a very good quality bag and well worth the money I would buy it for sure if I had not received it to review.
I know it was a bit hard to see all the features in the video but here is a picture of the bag and their suggestion of organization, as I stated in the video there are two bottle pockets, a sippy cup pocket, the pocket in the front i store diapers in, a zipper in the back of the main compartment.  It turns into a backpack, has a key hook on it and best of all it has the drawer in the front with the three compartments for easy storage.  Then on the outside you get the sunglasses pouch (which is very soft so it won’t scratch your glasses), the cell phone pouch (again very soft), a mesh pocket and a bonus pouch.  I love how big the changing pad is and we use it all the time, I had never used one before because it was too small and not functional for my baby so we always used a receiving blanket instead.
~BUY IT~
Go to Whodathought.com and find out where you can go and buy a Mrs Smiths bag of your own from their retailers list as I previously stated prices vary from $69.99 to $99.99.

Three Different Directions Review

Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag Giveaway

Wednesday, October 21, 2009 Leave a Comment
In an unofficial polling of moms and dads that I did (some seasoned parents, some brand new), the question was asked: What are the features you look for or would like to see in a diaper bag?

Survey says……
Moms:

  • Worn over the shoulder
  • Plenty of Pockets
  • Included Changing Pad
  • Insulated Bottle Holder
Dads:
  • No Frills
  • Backpack style
What would you say if there is a company that supplies ALL of those features and more? It’s true Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bags have all that and more!

The Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag converts to a backpack by using its own shoulder strap. Simply unhook the messenger strap and remove the shoulder pad. Thread the strap through the loop behind documents pouch. Attach hooks to the D-clips at the bottom of the back of the bag and size accordingly.

It has dedicated places for your keys, cell phone, sunglasses, credit cards, cash, ID and water bottle.

A full size washable changing pad is located in the bag’s flap.

Two bottles and one sippy cup can be accommodated in their own insulated holders.

6 different patterns are available including Classic Black which the dads won’t mind carrying!

Perhaps the most unique thing about Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bags over any other kind has to be the bottom pullout drawer. I have never seen anything like it. This would be the ultimate diaper bag pick for traveling.

If you aren’t convinced that these bags are worth their weight in gold, let me tell you a story….

When Amber was not quite a year old, we decided to pull up and take to the air and visit my grandparents in Europe. At the time I had a vinyl, pastel green diaper bag emblazoned with animals. Not exactly classified as chic in the fashion world. I couldn’t possibly find myself traipsing around with that bag on my shoulder. So I decided to buy a regular handbag that I could use instead of a dedicated diaper bag. Big.Mistake. 12 take offs and landings and 8 hour flights do not work well with a bag that is not organized nor made to hold things like bottles, pacifiers and lotions. If only Mrs. Smith had been around then!

3 Plane Changes + Feeding in an Airport Terminal + Acrobatic Diaper Changing in the Claustrophobic Bathroom all with a Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag = Priceless

These bags will be useful long after you no longer need a diaper bag too. I actually plan to use the Classic Black bag as my carry on when we travel next. The drawer on the bottom will be handy for those quick things we tend to use all the time on flights, like chewing gum, books, and my mp3 player. I won’t have to dig through anything and it will be right there for me.

Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bags Ends 11/02/09 *CLOSED*

Review & Giveaway

We were sent the Copper, Mrs. Smith’s diaper bag for review, and they will be giving away 2 bags to our readers.

This is like the limo of diaper bags. Insulated top area for bottles and/or sippy cups. Complete with lots of storage space, and a zipper compartment. Full sized changing pad, which is located inside the flap. Pull out “drawer” at the bottom for those small wanderings. Side pockets with velcro storage. The top zips, and velcros closed. These bags come in some super chic colors/patterns. Lovely dedicated areas for your keys, credit cards, and more!

mrssmithbagcoppermrssmithbagbottom

Don’t like the messanger bag style? That’s fixed also. Just unhook, and re-hook in the secondary location.

mrssmithbackbag

I love the story about how these bags come into play. They were created by Mrs. Rachael Smith.I wonder, if while she was sketching out her ideal diaper bag, if she realized just how useful this bag would be to others, as more than a diaper bag.

One day while struggling to juggle the demands of her infant daughter and toddler son at the airport, this all came to a head. As they boarded their plane, her son wanted his toy train and her daughter began crying for her bottle. While digging through her traditional diaper bag, Rachael accidentally spilled her daughter’s bottle all over the bag’s contents. Then, in desperation to find his toy train, she dumped out the bag and emptied everything out onto a chair.

How familiar does that sound? Well for my family it’s all too familiar.

I can see this bag having many uses. I take care of my elderly mother, and we often have to grab last minute items to take long for her, that are necessary. With this bag, we are able to keep it packed, and grab it on the way out. A change of clothes, spare medications, adult briefs, you get the idea. All the same that those with babies would grab, but on a larger adult scale. It’s so universal, and will even keep insulin cool. How great is that?!

Amanda at Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bags, is sending 2 of our readers their own Mrs. Smith Diaper Bag. It’s been great working with Amanda, and Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bags

The pink camouflage is another one of my favorites.

MRS. SMITH

I have been on a plane with my son Aidan more times than I can count. And every flight we’ve ever taken has been 6+ hours in the air, making it a full 12 hour day with stop overs, touch downs, and ”oops, sorry folks we have to de-ice the plane”…been there? Yea, it’s not fun when you’re travelling by yourself let alone with a newborn or toddler!! Has anyone been lucky enough to fly with a two year old and a two week old like I’ll be in a month and a half? Somebody hold me….
Rachael Smith was in my shoes two years ago, except she took the stressful {and flustering} experience of flying with her children and started brainstorming about how she could create the perfect diaper bag….and she did! The line of Mrs. Smith diaper bags are structured, ideal in size, super stylin’ for modern mamas and are convertible to an over the shoulder or to a backpack using its own shoulder strap. So smart! Among all the compartments for storing the things your kids need, there’s also designated pockets for moms that hold your keys, cell phone, sunglasses, credit cards, cash, ID and water bottle!

When I received my Mrs. Smith Diaper Bag, I was really surprised at the look of it. It’s not just a big bag that ends up being a catch-all for everything from diapers to cheese strings. It has pockets with purpose and that’s what makes it different. It’s organized, keeps everything neat and tidy and looks fantastic. It even has a drawer – yes, a drawer. This is what will save me on the plane next month. There’s enough room for Aidan’s snacks plus some baby items and snacks and drinks for myself. No more rummaging through a gigantic open pocket for everything {which drives my husband insane..he can never find anything in my purse or diaper bag}. And since I’ll have a baby strapped to my front in a carrier the option to wear as a backpack is going to be priceless in keeping me handsfree and not having to fuss with a strap that won’t stay on my shoulder.

On the site it states that the Mrs. Smith diaper bags will hold 4-5 changes of clothes, 6 diapers, two bottles and a sippy cup, snacks and toys, jars of baby food, etc., and it really does! You wouldn’t think it could based on the size alone – it’s not a huge diaper bag by any means…a massive diaper bag that could pose as a piece of luggage isn’t necessary when you have something this well thought out.

The more I think about this bag, I can’t believe that they start at $69.99. That’s unheard of with a quality diaper bag…you definitely get MORE than your money’s worth with a Mrs. Smith diaper bag. And with these color/print options…a hip mommie’s dream!
You can click here for a list of retailers where you can purchase a Mrs. Smith bag aaaaand you can enter to win one at Natural Mommie!

Littles Rule the Roost Review

Review and Giveaway – Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bags

6:39 AM by supreme
I am a mom of two “littles” – one very active toddler and an infant. That means I have a lot of accessories to carry  with me whenever we go out. Who knew such little people needed so many things!!!
I have tried MANY different diaper bags – some small, some large – back packs, over the shoulder bags – even a converted laptop bag. None of them seemed to do what I wanted them to do. I was always digging through them trying to find the one thing I needed RIGHT. NOW!
That is why I was so thrilled to try out a Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag! Here is the story of how this diaper bag was designed.
Mrs. Rachael Smith after many mornings scrambling out the door with her children, realized she spent too much time worrying about the little details (keys, change of clothes, snacks, etc…) and not enough time focused on the essentials.

Finally, locating the toy train, she shoved everything back into the bag. Frustrated and with two children in tow, she hurried to board the plane. Once seated, she looked at the disorganized and dripping wet diaper bag and thought to herself, “I can do better than this!” Suddenly the ultimate baby bag design came to her.  Minutes later, she began sketching the ideal diaper bag. Now, two years later, she proudly introduces the Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag.

The bags come in six fashionable colours – I chose a brown bag with pink polks dots.

When the parcel arrived, I immediately dumped the contents of my old diaper bag on the floor and started to pack the Mrs. Smith’s bag. I could not believe how many little pockets and holders there were on this bag! I easily packed EVERYTHING from my old bag into the Mrs. Smith bag and still had a lots of room to spare!

Here is an excerpt from the website describing the features:
The benefits of the Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag are unmatched, like the unique pull-out drawer, which can be taken completely out of the bag. In the Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag, you can fit:
  • Two bottles and one sippy cup in their own insulated holders
  • Jars of baby food
  • Two pacifiers
  • Lots of snacks and toys
  • Four to five sets of clothing
  • Wipes in a their own wipes container
  • Six diapers
  • A washable, full-sized changing
    pad (is included!)
  • And dedicated places for your keys, cell phone, sunglasses, credit cards, cash, ID
    and water bottle

And you can access all of these items easily! The Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag converts to a backpack by using its own shoulder strap. It’s designed with style and flare, and keeps you organized. The Mrs. Smith’s Diaper Bag also comes in black for those who also love to be organized, but don’t do pink!

My favourite features are
  1. the many different “Parent pockets” for keys, phone, water bottle, sunglasses which are located on the outside of the bag for easy access.
  2. the pull out drawer – an outstanding design feature! I keep snacks and little toys for my toddler in there so that I can access them easily when needed.

I love showing this bag off to other moms who all want to knwo where I got it! One friend even suggested that once the kids are out of the “diaper bag stage” that I can use it as a scrapbooking bag. I love a diaper bag that I can use AFTER the kids are out of diapers!
